Annual Community Clean-Up
We have taken 'tonnes' of rubbish out of the creek over the past few years, but there's still more to remove. Join us and help to make a difference for our local stream. Sunday 14th February, 2010 - 10.00am-1.00pm Meet at Phyllis Reserve, end of Springleigh Ave Mt Albert (off Woodward Road) Bring - sturdy footwear, water sunhat and sunscreen. Refreshment provided. Friends and families welcome. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Community Tree Care Weeding / Plant Releasing Sunday 7th March, 2010 – 10.00-12.00 With summer well underway there are lots of weeds that need removing from around, and over our young plants. Join us on the first Sunday of eachmonth. Meet - Plane Tree Bridge (watch for orange distance marker 0.55m) Wear - sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing. Bring - sunhat, sunscreen, garden gloves and hedgeclipperes (if you have a pair) Refreshments provided. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Monitoring & Pest Control Programme We have a range of activities where we are looking for local volunteers to become involved in our 'monitoring and pest control' programme in an on-going way. These include monitoring of both nattive species and pest species, and control of rodents and possums.
